From Vision to Trust: How HUNIWA Founder Naim Ahmed Is Building a Transparent Raw Honey Brand

The Indian honey market has grown so quickly over the past few years but so have customers’ questions. The consumers are looking for more, rather than an attractive labels or a familiar brand. People are more concerned to know from where their honey is coming from, how it is harvested and whether they can trust the brand that is selling it.

These increased demands of the consumers have led, entrepreneur Naim Ahmed, to a starting point for HUNIWA, a raw honey brand that is built on transparency, cautious harvesting and uniform quality rather than fake promotions.

The story of HUNIWA did not begin with a factory or a business proposal. It started with a visit to an apiary.

On 10th of Sep 2025, Ahmed made a visit to meet a beekeeper to thoroughly understand the journey of the honey from extraction to till it reaches the stores. He spent a lot of his time in thoroughly understanding the extraction process, getting to know more about the apiculture and also understanding about the efforts that are involved in honey collecting process, while keeping their natural habitats intact.

That visit changed the direction of his thinking.

Rather than directly getting into business, Ahmed decided to spend weeks learning about the industry. He researched India’s honey market, studied leading brands, compared product positioning, reviewed packaging styles and analysed customer feedback across online platforms.

One pattern kept appearing during this research. Many consumers were confused about raw honey and processed honey. Product the descriptions often failed to explain the differences clearly, leaving customers with more questions than answers.

Ahmed realised that building another honey brand would not be enough. What consumers wanted was a brand that communicated honestly and helped them make informed choices.

That idea gradually became HUNIWA.

Instead of just focusing on promotional claims, the company chose to build its image basis transparency. Every step, from sourcing honey to designing labels, was planned with the intention of giving customers clear picture rather than overwhelming them with marketing tones.

Developing the brand took time: packaging was enhanced, labels were made and suitable containers were chosen with the aim of representing the product in a simple and trustworthy manner. According to Ahmed, these details were equally important as the honey itself because they showcased the company’s true values.

A major milestone was established on 18th of Nov 2025; it was the day when HUNIWA received its first commercial stock of honey. Which marked the point where months of planning finally turned into business operations.

Less than three weeks later, on 4th of Dec 2025, the company fulfilled its first customer order.

Since this was just a start, but that first delivery spoke much more than a sale. It reflected months of field visits, market research and preparation that took to create a brand.

HUNIWA, today continues to work with trusted beekeeping partners while focusing mainly on ethical sourcing and handling practices. The company’s main aim is to keep the natural qualities of raw honey intact by making sure that the customers receive exact information about the products they buy.

HUNIWA aims to strengthen its position as a trusted “Indian Honey Brand” while continuously educating the consumers about “Raw Honey”, careful sourcing and product transparency. The company’s long-term goal is to make high-quality “Natural Honey” more available to all without compromising on its authenticity. By improving its sourcing practices, packaging standards and consumer communication. HUNIWA aims to contribute to a more real honey industry where trust is built through actions rather than fake promises.

Careful sourcing remains another important part of HUNIWA’s principles. The company looks long-term relationships with beekeepers as a necessity for maintaining consistency and encouraging sustainable practices across the supply chain.

Rather than counting the success only by expansion, Ahmed says he wants the business to hold a credibility over time. In his view, customer trust is built through highest quality honey, transparency and a will to improve continuously.

Rather than counting success only by expansion, Ahmed says he wants the business to earn reliability over time. In his view, customer trust is built through highest quality, being transparent and a willingness to enhance continuously.

As HUNIWA moves ahead, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the Indian market while continuing to spread awareness about “raw honey” and informed purchasing. Future efforts will focus on improving sourcing standards, enhancing customer education and maintaining transparency as the business grows.

The journey from visiting an apiary to building a recognized honey brand has reinforced one lesson to Ahmed, that is trust cannot be built overnight. It develops through consistent actions, honest practices and by keeping up with the words promised.

Even though HUNIWA is still in its early stages of its journey, its foundation remains rooted in the same principles that inspired its beginning — quality, transparency and ethical sourcing. As consumer awareness continues to evolve, the company hopes those values will remain its strongest differentiator in the years ahead.
